Q: Were there meaningful conversations about adoption and/or BraveLove before or after the program? If so, share your interesting conversations! A: One of my friends is both an adoptee and an adoptive parent, so she had a lot to say, especially about connecting with her birth mom as an adult.

Q: Please share any other comments/feedback/suggestions below. A: You prepared us so well for the evening! And the hostess kit and event outline were full of great perks and detailed information! I am a details girl and you left no stone unturned! I loved all of the BL items in your kit and even got masks printed with the BL logo as gifts to my guests. The wine was wonderful and all of printed information was great to have! I loved how every party customized and added their own special touch to the evening – I also framed pictures of my adoptive parents and lit candles, had tons of flowers and food and music by our pool outside – Such a fun evening. Lots of happy tears were shed and my guests left knowing the mission of BraveLove – many said they donated today! Great job team!

Q: What specific questions did people ask you about BraveLove and/or content from the program video? A: Some of them asked how I was adopted and whether it was opened or closed. They also asked if in an open adoption situation, could the birth mom change her mind along the way and want the child back. I explained my closed adoption and positive thoughts on both open and closed:)

Q: What would you have done differently to make the evening better (if anything)? A: Honestly, I was really impressed with the entire presentation from start to finish! The 45 minutes was a perfect amount of time for guests not to get antsy. I liked the way the program flowed, heart felt stories along with good interviews and facts about adoption and giving a voice to birth moms and adoptees at the same time! Full of hope! Got great feedback from my friends!

Q: In your opinion, what was the greatest challenge from your Watch Party? A: Not too many challenges, making sure the equipment worked and was set up on time was a little stressful but it worked great! At first the sound was off and not matching the voices, but I restarted the program and it timed up perfectly! The donation ask at the end was great, handing out the donation cards too, but almost wish there was a small envelope they could have enclosed their filled out cards to give to me to give directly to you, that way I wouldn’t see the amount given.

Q: What was the highlight from your particular Watch Party? A: When I was able to share my story with my own Mom watching and seeing my guests and friends so emotional, crying along with us. And afterwards, getting all of the warm reception and feedback, so many people learned so much about the stigma surrounding birth moms and they thought the program was very insightful!

Q: Were there meaningful conversations about adoption and/or BraveLove before or after the program? If so, share your interesting conversations! A: Yes! I shared my adoption story, my healing journey, what I would say to my birth Mom and had my own Mom FaceTime and talk a little to everyone. Then, I told how I came to know about BraveLove and how I was asked to be in their Adoptees Say Thank You Video Campaign and why I support BraveLove! I thanked them all for coming after the video and told them how to donate, did raffle drawings for BL hats and mugs and flowers! And adoption and birth mom conversations continued afterwards as well!
