You are an amazing, courageous woman. Thank-you for sacrificing for your child.

We think of our children’s birth parents every day and hope they know how much we appreciate their decision. We love their/our children more than we can describe. People say how “lucky” are children were to be adopted by us. We always correct them and say “No, we were the lucky ones to have the opportunity to adopt them.”

As a ministry, we had the opportunity to see a wonderful thing happen. We brought a young unwed pregnant girl into the ministry whose life had been chaotic. It was obvious after the baby came that she really was not able to take care of the baby on her own. We came to know of a couple who desperately wanted to adopt, but had not been successful. They were the perfect couple in every way and loved the baby at first sight. The mother had a real struggle at first with the thought of letting her baby go. Some of the other students tried to dissuade her, as well. She could see that her son bonded to the couple right away and that they could give him a loving home and all other advantages, while she would have a struggle just to maintain. We were rewarded to see our young student work with them to be assured that this would be the best decision for her son. Now several years later, she has married, is very happy, and has a baby boy to whom she has learned to give proper love and care. For mother and sons there is a happy ending. Thank God, you chose the welfare of your child above your strong maternal instincts and even the critical eye of some who judge without wisdom or understanding. You gave the most precious gift possible, and, in doing so, blessed your child and the parents whose deep desire you met.

being a birth mother to an adopted child this is so meaningful! We have made the bravest choices for our birth child and that is a great thing!

I just celebrated my 13th joyous Mother’s Day because of you and your Brave Eternal Love. Thank you, forever.

Because of you my family has been given the most precious gift , who is cherished by all and loved unconditionally by all. Words cannot express the thankfulness in my heart to you! Thank you for your selflessness.

As a mother of two children, I can not imagine the pain you must have felt and still feel at the loss of your child, but I can not fathom a deeper love for your child than to be willing to lose your child for their greater good. I can not help but reflect on our heavenly Father’s love for us- giving up His own Son and then the other truth correlation of adopting us as His children when we love that Son! Thank you for your beautiful sacrifice. May God bless you for it!

Thank you for your courageous love and sacrifice. I am blessed to be adopted and birth mon’s are my heroes. I love you.

As a birth mom of one and an adoptive mom of seven, I understand the hard choices before you. You are strong and putting the needs of your child above all else makes you even stronger in my eyes. You are not giving them away, but are helping them have the best life possible. Hold your head high and know you are doing what is best.

I have six adopted children aged 20-37. They are the joy of my life. My life went from sad as someone who could not have children to someone glad because I have these beautiful children. There is not a day that I don’t think of their birth moms and wonder what they looked like, what their story was. I always tell my children that if they ever wish to reconnect with their birth parents, I will help them in their journey. I have always believed that children are where they are meant to be on the day they are there. I wish I could thank you personally and tell you what are blessing these children are to the world and to me and how much I appreciate all that you went through for the benefit of your children. :-) I love you!

Keep looking for then. Never give up!!! They want to know that you’re looking for them!

So blessed for both birth mom’s that were so brave and because of it have blessed not just their birth children but us too (adoptive family). I can never say thank you enough to these two beautiful women that we love so much!

Everyone is impacted by adoption because we all learn from the emotions, decisions, and changes to the the man and woman who becomes pregnant, their families, their friends, the doctors and nurses, the counselors and coaches who are part of a team for support, adoption professionals, hopeful adoption parents, their families and friends, and all the teachers, ministers, doctors, and endless numbers of persons who know the adopted child through their life. The circles are wide. It is so important to understand and respect the impact of the process on every person. Thanks for every heart-felt story shared.

Your decision to place your child for adoption will be one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. But just know that it is a huge, brave, noble choice that only the strong can make. No matter where your child is placed, you will always be their mother. Keep your head up, and don’t ever think that you were less of a woman for your decision, because you are one of the strongest women on this earth. You & I are in the strong club!!!

I gave up 2 children for adoption. I was young and selfish and cannot even fathom now how I did what I did. But they have been loved and cherished both by their adoptive parents and by me, their birth mom, every day of their lives. I pray someday they will want a relationship with me and will forgive me for giving them up. Sometimes it is more a selfish choice to give up a child, but God is good and forgives.
