Thank you for considering allowing your chikf to be adopted by parents whose hearts are yearning for a child to love and to hold. I am adopted child, afoptef at birth 60 years ago. Adoptions were closed then but I was,able, by the Hand of God, to meet my birth mother 18 years ago. She is not my Mom— my parents will always be the ones that raised me— but she has a special place in my heart and life now…as do the rest of her family . She was very young and she wanted more for me thsn she could give at the time. So she allowed Gof to pick out just the perfect parents, brother, and family for me. . We weren’t wealthy. As a matter of fsct, Im sure we were under the povertu line. My Dad was a,eanch foreman amd Mom stayed home with us. We thought we had it all, though. We had a house to keep us safe and cozy, food to eat, cars to take us to church, the grocery store, to school…and best of all to my Granny’s house and my Aunts and Uncles on vacation every year. Thank you for caring ebough for this precious baby to allow just the right parents to love and nourish him or her. And if it is God’s will, I pray you can have the kind of relationship I now share wuth my birth family. I am blessed beyond measure because a scated littke 16 year old cared rbouhh in 1956 to let me go. God bless you and guide you.

As an adoptive mom, I am grateful every day to my son’s birth mom who chose to give him life and then chose to give him away.

As a birth mother who placed her daughter at the age of 14, and an adoptive mother, who was able to receive a daughter out of the foster care system, at the age of 30, I am so blessed and amazed by both of these young women who I am blessed to have in my life. Adoption is necessary because of someone else’s loss; Birth mother, unable to keep child, adoptive mother, possibly unable to birth a child, and of course, the baby itself, unable to stay in their birth family (and, it is a loss.) But, being on both sides of this, these 2 young women have added more to my life than they will ever know. To ALL mothers, we are blessed because of these children. <3

To my birthmother,

In the middle of adversity you stood strong. You knew there was life growing inside of you. You put yourself last. While you knew you could not take care of me you always loved me. You saw me as a gift from God and you allowed me to be a gift to my parents. I am so grateful and thankful for the gift of life. Adoption is a blessing, it is unconditional love and a gift.
