my life was a living hell. I was 8 years old, living with my Grandparents and Dad when my Dad decided to re-marry. I never again stayed with my grandparents. My “mother” was narsisitic to the core. For me, adoption was not the answer. I wish that new parents recognized old and precious relationships. By the way, I never met by ‘biological’ mother. I was not allow to contact her in any way – and she didn’t contact me. I has taken 60 years to get over the hurt. Sorry this isn’t positive. Maybe it’s not what you wanted.
