Meet Kaedra! Our next Being A Birth Mom contributor...

I placed my son for adoption 14 years ago, in 2002. I was 19, and I knew that was the very best thing I could do for him at that time in my life. I love keeping in touch with him and his family through open adoption.

For a long time, I had no idea there was a whole world of birth mom support; there were no blogs or social media in 2002, but a couple of years ago, I wrote about my experience as a birth mom and it was shared online so much, that I was introduced to BraveLove. Through them, I have found great friendships with other birth moms and I love being a part of sharing BraveLove with the world.

My husband is an Upper Cervical doctor, and we recently moved to the South Carolina coast to start a new practice, where I work with him as his office manager. We have 4 beautiful, awesome children who we call The Bluebirds; they bring us a lot of happiness! In my spare time, I love to create artwork with reclaimed wood.
