The Creating Family Series - Part 3
As the days passed and my time to deliver grew near, I thought frequently about this woman who would raise and love my baby. I thought more about her than I did about the baby. Was she preparing a room in hopeful anticipation or was she terrified it would fall through yet again? I wanted to help her as much as I wanted to help myself with this process.
The Creating Family Series - Part 2
"I do not remember ever not knowing I was adopted. It was my bedtime story as a child: 'Once upon a time, there was a young mommy who loved her baby very much...' and so on." #BraveLove

As I took my seat in the second row, I couldn’t figure out the dynamics of the panel in front of me. Two younger women, two older women and an older man. As the session started, they were introduced… adoptee, birth mom, adoptive mom, birth mom’s husband, and birth mom’s daughter. Hold on… husband of the birth mom?
