When do I have to decide? What if I change my mind?

This is Dr. Kacy Michel. She holds a PhD in Health Education and formerly served as the Director of Client Services at a women's center where she educated clients on their pregnancy options, including adoption. Kacy answers this question about the adoption process today:

"When do I have to decide? What if I change my mind?"

You can decide at any point in the process, but please know that the option of adoption doesn't go away after birth. Some mothers make adoption plans early in pregnancy, while others wait until after the baby is born. Some women also change their minds and decide to parent. In most cases, the relinquishment paperwork is not signed until after the baby is born.
