We have experienced the blessings, joys and challanges of being parents. I have been a preschool teacher/director for over 30 years. I always dreamed of being a parent. When we started trying to get pregnant in our late 20’s we faced some health issues that put that plan on hold. Those health issued resolved but we still couldn’t get pregnant. In 2002 we decided to adopt through Social Services. We had 2 classes to go when we got a call from my sister that a friend of hers had just had a baby and was putting her up for adoption. By the time my sister got to the hospital to see the baby her friend had told the social worker there that she was placing the baby with a family friend. That “friend” was us! God had a bigger plan than we did. He opened so many doors to make this adoption happen with out any hiccups! The blessings are beyond measure! Our angel from Him is precious, amazing, creative and caring.

I am very blessed. When I was almost 2 and my Grandmother took me and my sister to the Children’s home, because my mother went to another city and left us with her. My mom and Dad came there to see my sister. But I put my hands up for Dad to pick me up. Well needless to say, it melted Dad’s heart and they decided to adopt me. I have had a great life. They were great parents. And I have a better with them then with my birth mother. God was taking care of me when I was to young to take care of myself. He sent me the best parents anyone could ask for. I love you, Dad and Mom who are in Heaven now. Thank you, God.
